My heart & mind
I am passionate and committed to contributing to the eradication of extreme poverty in Nigeria. Since graduating from the University of Ibadan in 2000, and completing an MBA at Said Business School, Oxford University in 2019, this vision has remained singular. It crystalized in 2022 when the President of Nigeria (2015-2023), His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, formally launched Nigeria's first sub-national Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) report- the outcome of a project i managed as the National Coordinator.
My soul
My core is drawn towards empathy, healing, and providing tangible support to self and fellow humans. With over 45 years sojourn on earth, i have prioritized and channelled time and resources towards fulfilling this call. A few:
Love & life
Family is everything- my beautiful daughter, siblings, parents and a long line of extended family & close-knit friends.
I love pomeranian dogs and had 13 at a time. Now, only Elle (Fine/beauty- in Yoruba Language) lives in the household. He will soon be joined by Goddess (a Frenchie).
Gardening is therapeutic. How lucky i am that my vineyard grows in abundance- apples, sweet orange, indian lemon, pomegranate, guava, spices, and many more. Being a Gardenerette is generational! My momma's gene runs true!
I love to travel, and this- quite a lot! Just anywhere i can hike or be by the ocean, nature, and awakened by history.
I'm a bibliophile. During the 2020 COVID pandemic, i read about 70 books- thanks to Audible. So far, 15 books read in the first half of 2023 has been to satisfy my curiousity on religion/spirituality, psychology, economics, and others centered around understanding existentialism. Perhaps, i should start a book review section on here. Who knows!
